Under 16's

The U16 Centre of Excellence team marks the final chapter in a talented players junior career, and the prospect of progression into open-age football in the near future.

Players in this age group will have already honed their technical skills, so therefore much work in this area concentrates on developing a players tactical knowledge relating to both their own, and others positions, and in enhancing the players fitness in readiness for more physical challenges.

This particular age group team have played a vital part in putting Plymouth Argyle on the map in recent years, with some notable performances in the FA SW fixture programme, a 5-0 drubbing of Chelsea at the end of the 2006/07 season, and having 5 players gaining call-ups to England Youth training camps.
